Macron asked Netanyahu to offer a gesture of peace to the angry Palestinians.In terms of gestures I said it seems to me that freezing settlement building and confidence measures with regard to the Palestinian Authority are important acts to start with which we discussed with Prime Minister Netanyahu.
In recent years, the Israeli government has been approving the construction of number Jewish settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories including East Jerusalem which are illegal according to international laws.Netanyahu said his government is open to peace talks with the Palestinians but that Israel’s offers have been rejected.
